ADR UK is advancing policy-relevant research through providing funding for a number of PhD Studentships and Research Fellowships utilising their flagship datasets. This includes the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) linked with PAYE and Self-Assessment data from His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), and the ASHE linked with Census 2011, each linked through the Wage and Employment Dynamics Project.

Dr. Damian Whittard
Dr. Damian Whittard is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of West England. His research will generate and test alternative measures of green jobs, applying these to better understand the earnings and career prospects of those working in them in England and Wales. Dr. Mimosa Distefano- Agglomeration Economies and Job to Job Mobility.

Dr. Mimosa Distefano
Dr. Mimosa Distefano is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Economic Performance, London School of Economics. Her project studies how job opportunities for workers with different levels of formal education compare across areas, and the role of city size in affecting these opportunities. Dr. Darja Reuschke
Dr. Darja Reuschke is an Associate Professor in The Department of Strategy and International Business at The University of Birmingham. Her research concerns changes in local labour markets and new forms and locations of work and businesses that are emerging through new technologies, economic restructuring, crisis and social change. Dr. Kathryn Fair-Measuring inequality-driven skills gaps in the UK labour market.

Dr. Kathryn Fair
Dr. Kathryn Fair is a Senior Research Associate at The Alan Turing Institute. Her current work focuses on labour market dynamics and aims to move beyond classical economic models and methodologies to improve our understanding of how shocks to the economy impact labour mobility. Kathryn uses ASHE-Census 2011 to explore how hiring discrimination influences the types of skills that workers within the UK labour market have, and how this impacts outcomes for individuals and the economy. Yifan Ge-Women’s pension entitlements in the UK

Yifan Ge
Yifan Ge is a +3 PhD student in Gerontology at the University of Southampton under the supervision of Professor Athina Vlachantoni and Professor Jane Falkingham. Yifan’s current research focuses on women’s pension entitlements in the UK, particularly for those born in the 1950s, and investigates how their entitlements vary by demographic and socio-economic characteristics.
