The WED team at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) has successfully secured Phase 5 funding under ADR UK, continuing the programme’s strong progress and impact across earlier phases.
This new phase will support the ongoing maintenance and development of the WED datasets, including enhanced ASHE, ASHE-Census, ASHE-HMRC PAYE & SA, and ASHE-MWS. These datasets provide an important resource for research on the UK labour market and enable valuable insights into earnings, employment and workforce dynamics.
Phase 5 officially began in April 2026, ensuring the continued availability and enhancement of these key data resources for the research community.
The team would like to thank all collaborators and partners, including Bayes Business School – City St George’s, University of London, and University of Stirling, who have contributed to the success of the project so far and look forward to continuing this work in the next phase.
