Those interested in ASHE-Census linked data will be aware that members of the WED team have been funded by UKRI to make available a dataset linking ASHE to the 2021 Census for England and Wales. We expected to be able to release these linked data in Spring 2026 – signalling that intention on the WED website and in various stakeholder events.
However, the closure of the IDS and subsequent linkage delays mean that the timetable for delivery of these data into the SRS is significantly delayed. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to advertise a new date for delivery at this time. But we are not expecting delivery of the data to the SRS to be possible before Summer 2026.
