WED Programme Lead joins ESRC Assessor College

We’re delighted to share that Dr Damian Whittard, Program Manager of the Wage and Employment Dynamics (WED) programme, has been appointed to the ESRC Assessor College following the latest recruitment round.

Damian is thrilled to be joining this national network of expert reviewers, which plays a crucial role in assessing the quality, rigour and impact of research proposals submitted to the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

This appointment recognises Damian’s leadership in developing the UK’s linked administrative data infrastructure – including the WED suite of datasets – and his commitment to advancing evidence-based research on wages, employment and productivity.

“I’m delighted to be joining the ESRC Assessor College. It’s a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the wider social science community while bringing back valuable insights to strengthen the WED programme’s research and impact agenda,” – Damian Whittard

Damian’s involvement will help ensure WED continues to align with national research priorities, strengthen its partnerships across academia and government, and enhance its contribution to the ESRC’s vision of supporting high-quality, policy-relevant social science.
