ADR UK will a hold conference in partnership with the Office for National Statistics to discuss the power and potential of administrative data for research. Changes to the economy and society are always reflected in the data used by researchers, and this conference will allow the community to come together to discuss how that data can help to understand and improve resilience and inclusion.
The conference will have four subthemes:
- Research to support renewal, recovery and resilience
- Data linkage, methods, systems and technology
- Ethics, law and social implications
- Public engagement and involvement in population data research
Presentations
Professor Felix Ritchie and Lucy Stokes will be presenting two papers this year. The presentation of the first paper, “Turning data into research-ready data”, will explore how even in simple cases researcher involvement can bring substantial rewards for effective research-ready data development. The presentation of the second paper, “How common is low pay in Britain? New findings from linked data” will discuss how we identify and adjust for non-response biases in ASHE and generate new estimates of the incidence of low pay. This paper can be viewed here.
